Joy Althorpe Clinical Psychology provides professional counselling and psychological consultancy, aimed at assisting you in enhancing your psychological, social, emotional and/or spiritual well-being.

Joy is committed to providing quality psychological practice in a warm and supportive environment, offering interventions which are evidence-based and have been found to be highly effective.

The consultation room is just 10 minutes from the Adelaide CBD at Steadfast Business Centre in Maylands.

Joy Althorpe

Dip.T., B.Ed., B.A. (Hons.), M.Clin.Psych. M.A.P.S.

Joy has completed a Masters in Clinical Psychology, is registered with AHPRA and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Clinical College (APS).

She has a wide range of clinical interests and works from a warm, client-centered model with a strong background in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and also uses Acceptance and Mindfulness approaches.

Joy has skills in working with all ages and a variety of presenting issues, including:

Joy also provides assistance with medico-legal issues, assessment and treatment, including Workcover claims and Motor Vehicles Accidents.

Joy is available to conduct workshops and seminars for general and specific audiences.

Joy is registered with Medicare as a specialist provider of Clinical Psychological services, so eligible clients receive the highest level of Medicare rebates available. Electronic payment and Medicare Easyclaim facilities are available.
